tscircuit founder Seve (@seveibar) shipped the first tscircuit release targeting OpenAI Astra. Instead of letting Astra drive KiCad directly, you can one-shot a Linux-capable Allwinner T113 board design in tscircuit.
OpenAI staffer reach_vb notes that after updating Codex and selecting Astra, enabling [features.context_management] experimental_mode = true in ~/.codex/config.toml lets the agent keep notes across context windows and search earlier messages and tool outputs (including details missing from its notes)βuseful for long debugging and large refactors. Requires ChatGPT Plus, Pro, or Pro Lite.
OpenAI Codex/ChatGPT lead Tibo (@thsottiaux) clarified that third-party clients using Sign in With ChatGPT for Codex is not an approved use. OpenAI supports pure open-source clients and partners with existing relationships; others must reach out. The clarification matters for third-party Codex clients and proxy tooling compliance.
Marwan Atef (@Marwan_3atef) covered OpenAI Secure MCP Tunnel: run a tunnel-client inside your network that long-polls over outbound HTTPS, forwards work to localhost MCP, and returns on the same tunnel. ChatGPT, Codex, the Responses API, and AgentKit can reach private MCP servers without inbound ports. Docs and the openai/tunnel repo are public.
