OpenAI Developers announced Appshots on Windows, letting ChatGPT pull context from the apps you are already using. The feature targets debugging, recreating UI, and pulling data across apps with far less copy-paste.

OpenAI Developers described Habitat, the online storage platform behind ChatGPT through Codex. It has grown over 10x year over year; before the Rust rewrite, its Python service handled more than 20 million requests per second at peak.
OpenAI Codex/ChatGPT lead Tibo (@thsottiaux) clarified that third-party clients using Sign in With ChatGPT for Codex is not an approved use. OpenAI supports pure open-source clients and partners with existing relationships; others must reach out. The clarification matters for third-party Codex clients and proxy tooling compliance.
Marwan Atef (@Marwan_3atef) covered OpenAI Secure MCP Tunnel: run a tunnel-client inside your network that long-polls over outbound HTTPS, forwards work to localhost MCP, and returns on the same tunnel. ChatGPT, Codex, the Responses API, and AgentKit can reach private MCP servers without inbound ports. Docs and the openai/tunnel repo are public.
